Why a Podcast is the Best way to Create Content

Hey there! Let’s talk about why podcasts are arguably the best way to create content for your business, your brand, or your personal platform.

Creating regular content is a thorn in the side and a serious time drain. It can be really challenging to come up with authentic, creative things to post on your channels regularly! And we all know that cookie cutter content just doesn’t hit our audience the way we want it to. So, how do you make content creation easier, more authentic and organic?

The answer is: start a podcast. Once you’ve got your podcast started (with a podcast manager’s help!), you have a system in place to help you pump out the content you need without banging your head against a wall. A podcast manager can help you dial in your show idea, come up with topics for you to talk about, and help you arrange guests to interview. All you have to do is be yourself and hit record!

Let me share what I do to create content for my clients once they send me the audio. While I edit the audio, I’m critically listening for content creation opportunities. This means I’m taking note of keywords, quotes, and marking where to cut to make audiograms for social media. For each episode, I can create between 2-8 pieces of content (including brand-specific imagery) to post on your social media channels. I’ll also have some great show notes written that will help drive traffic to your website!

By posting content on multiple platforms to promote your podcast, we expand your reach. This means that more people will find your content when they are searching the web and typing in similar questions.

I also want to add that podcast audiences are the most sincere audience members you can get. They return week after week to listen to your voice. You become a credible source of expertise on the topics you choose. And, your audience members will want to find you on your other channels to continue engaging with you.

Having a podcast manager on your team is the best way to know your show is taken care of. You know that the structures and systems are in place to keep production rolling and content flowing. AND, you have a collaborator and accountability partner to encourage you when you need it most.
