Why do you need a podcast?

Why start a podcast? Let’s dive in.

Podcasts have many benefits regardless of why you want one. Maybe you want an outlet to express your views and share your stories. Maybe you want a way to promote your business and create content. Either way, a podcast is the way to do it. Really, podcasts are the new blogs! (I write as I’m blogging on the topic…)

If you’re starting a business, or already have one and are looking for a fun way to create content, a podcast is the way to go. It’s an organic way to establish yourself as an authority and expert in your field. People who listen to podcasts develop a unique, personal connection with you. They voluntarily listen to your voice and your message and learn to trust you. What an awesome way to gain an audience!

Nowadays, you can’t just promote yourself through one channel. You need multiple kinds of content on different platforms. A podcast is a great place to start. As a podcast manager, I integrate content creation into my workflow. While I’m editing, I’m listening for quotes, keywords, and audio that I want to repurpose into other content for Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, or Twitter. Since I’m already doing the editing work, it’s no skin off my back to create content along the way! You can also use the podcast to create a blog on your website!

It’s a no brainer to use podcasting as an outlet for your creativity. Your voice and experience matters, and what better way to share your perspective? Whether you’re using your podcast to promote your business or to express yourself and be creative (or all of the above!), I encourage you to dive in!
